On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, the official Solo Leveling anime website released the preview for Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5. Titled This is What We’re Trained to Do, the episode is scheduled to air on Sunday, February 1, 2025, at 12 AM JST. Fans can stream it on Crunchyroll.
Recap of the Previous Episode
In the last episode, Sung Jinwoo underwent a Hunter rank reassessment, and with his imminent promotion to S-Rank, Go Gunhee offered him a position in the Hunter Association. However, Sung Jinwoo declined the offer and instead joined the Mining Team for a Hunters Guild dungeon raid. His true goal was to use the expedition as a cover story for acquiring the Orb of Avarice.

Cha Hae-In Confronts Sung Jinwoo
At the end of the previous episode, Sung Jinwoo seized the opportunity to explore deeper into the A-Rank Dungeon while the rest of the Mining Team took a break. He knew that defeating the Dungeon Boss would cause major losses for the Hunters Guild, but the challenge was too tempting to ignore. Just as he was about to proceed, he was confronted by Cha Hae-In, the Vice-Guild Master of the Hunters Guild.
Despite her limited screen time so far, Cha Hae-In plays a significant role as the series' female lead. With this being her first real interaction with Sung Jinwoo, fans can look forward to seeing how she reacts to his unexpected presence deep inside the dungeon.
Sung Jinwoo Joins the Second Attack Squad
According to the preview synopsis, Sung Jinwoo will also join the second Hunters Guild Attack Squad as a porter. The original luggage carrier was unable to participate, giving Sung Jinwoo the perfect opportunity to step in, despite officially being part of the Mining Team.
With tensions rising and new challenges ahead, Solo Leveling Season 2 Episode 5 is set to deliver another thrilling chapter in sung jin wo journey.
